Planning for a New Year and a New Planner

2014 is beginning to come to a close as the holiday season is upon us. It's not the 25 dz cookies I need to bake and decorate or finishing up the shopping and wrapping that I am dreading. It is the end of my planner that is my main worry.

Every year I stress and shop around every website and every store for that planner that is going to be functional and cute for the coming year. Unfortunately, there is never one that perfectly fits my needs. They are too small, the spaces to write to big, they are unlined, they only come in yellow, they are $70+. Can you relate?

This year, I started ahead. I decided to make one of my own. I've encountered many people in those narrow isles that struggle like I do to find a planner that fits. So, I've also made the planner available to you!

This planner works for me because it is cute so I will actually use it. I also included things that I couldn't live without like 2 page weekly and monthly spreads so I can write lots of details in the spaces.

Contact pages, birthday tracker, password tracker and dates to remember.

I also highlighted all of the major USA holidays, and include lines for organized writing, There are also note sections and blanked lined paper.

The great thing about printing these yourself is that you can customize it to fit your needs. I like adding the blank lined paper after the month calendar so that I can jot down notes and a shopping list on the fly.

It comes in 6 styles, floral, low ink use in greylow ink with color, nautical, chevron with bright colors and honeycomb low ink use. You can print them at home, at the office, or at an office supply store. I left the design so that you can punch them and store them in a binder, an Arc binder or something like a Filofax. There are a bunch of tutorials how to print a planner in both full and half page. My favorite half page version is here. For full page simply print the odds and then the evens or page by page if that makes you feel better about the process.
